UTOPIA's MUSIC ABC…..

Albini Steve

Member of the great band Shellac (vocals/guitar) and producer of MANY records. In Big Black/Rapeman earlier.

Bob Weston

Member (bass) of Shellac. Also an excellent producer for Rachels, June of 44, Ricaine, Tar and many others.

Crownhate Ruin -the (RIP)

Spilt awhile ago. I really liked this stuff on Dischord. Fred Erskine is currently playing in HiM and The Boom.  Was also a member of Hoover and June of '44

Dischord Records

Independent High Quality Record Label from Ian Mackaye and Jeff Nelson.

End Hits

Excellent record released in April 98. Probably fugazi's best album ever.

Fugazi

Best band in the 80's & 90's. Don't argue ….

Girls Against Boys

Made some awesome records in the early 90's. Left Touch&Go a year ago and signed a major label contract Since that day they've been very active in court. Dischord roots. Scott promised me the next record will be better (if there will be a next one).

Hoover (RIP)

Another great Dischord band from the early 90's, containted Freddie T Erskine.

Ian Mackaye

Member of fugazi (vocals/guitar). Also in The Teen Idles, Pailhead, Embrace, Egg Hunt, Minor Threat, Skew Bald earlier. Producer of Slant 6, Lungfish and others. Owns a record label (DISCHORD RECORDS)

June of 44 (RIP)

Was a hard working band with excellent musicians. Great live band.

Karate

Band from Geoff Farina. I hope their next album can stop their way downwards!

Lungfish

Underestimated Dischord band. I hope these guys will make it to Europe again. I missed them in 92!

Magnapop (RIP)

I will never forget the fugazi cover "song #1" and the nice times at Magnapop concerts. So they were an important band for me. I wonder what Linda&Ruthie do nowadays.

Niceley Ted

Producer of fugazi, GVSB, SPE and Magnapop.

Over and Out

Last record from TAR. Important Touch & Go Band

Picciotto Guy

Fugazi member (vocals/guitar). Played in Happy Go Lucky, Make One Last Wish and Rites of Spring before.

Quarterstick Records

One of the better record labels lately. Home from JO44, Kepone, The Sonora Pine, Pegboy…..

Rites of Spring (RIP)

EMO CORE. Forerunner of Fugazi. Important band. A must for Guy Picciotto fans!

Shipping News

Another great Quarterstick band. Member of the June Of '44 family!

Tim Taylor

Member of Brainiac. Brainiac was an excellent live band. Tim died after a car accident in 97.

Uzeda

Interesting band on Touch&Go.

Vic Bondi

Professor and member of Alloy (RIP) It's a while ago I've heard something from them but their last "Paper Thin Front" was an excellent record.

Washington D.C.

There is something like a DC sound and I like it.

For you (for finding this page)

Youth against fascism

Nice song from a cool band : Sonic Youth. If you want to see Ian Mackaye's name on a major label record you have to buy Dirty.(FYI Ian played guitar on this song)
